How to resolve connectivity issues with Wireless Controllers for Nintendo Switch after Nintendo Switch Update Ver. 12.0.0

If you experience connectivity issues with your Wireless Horipad for Nintendo Switch after applying Nintendo's version 12.0.0 update (distributed April 5, 2021), follow these steps to reconnect your controllers.
 

Step 1】Delete all pre-existing controllers registered on your Nintendo Switch system. 

From the HOME menu choose “System Settings” → ”Controllers and Sensors” then ”Disconnect Controllers”.

By doing the above, you will disconnect all previously connected controllers and sensors. To use a controller, you will have to register it into the Nintendo Switch.

 

Step 2】Pair your Wireless Horipad for Nintendo Switch with the Nintendo Switch Console.

1. Select “Controllers” from the HOME Menu →then select ”Change Grip/ Order”.

 

2. Press the Sync Button of your Wireless Horipad for Nintendo Switch until it starts blinking.

 

When the Player Light is lit and the message “Paired” appears in the top left corner, the pairing process is complete.

After the pairing is complete, when you start using the Wireless Horipad for Nintendo Switch, press one of the following buttons :  L Stick/ L Stick Button , R Stick/ R Stick Button)

During the registration of the Wireless Horipad for Nintendo Switch if you use or touch the L or R Stick it will not move as usual。


The L and R stick’s centre is being recalibrated during the reconnection or the registration of the Horipad.
 
If by any chance the centre of either of the Sticks has been mispositioned, during the registration or reconnection of the Horipad please follow the process below:
 

Press the Sync Button for the Wireless Horipad for Nintendo Switch.

Or Restart / put in the Nintendo Switch into Sleep Mode and then turn your Nintendo Switch back on.

After that, please press one of the following L Stick / L Stick Button / R Stick / R Stick Button.

 

If you cannot register:

If the battery charge on your Wireless Horipad for Nintendo Switch is too low the registration will not be possible.

In that case, please use the USB Type-C™ cable to plug it into the Nintendo Switch Dock and charge it.


 

The Wireless Horipad for Nintendo Switch can charge even if the below applies:

-       The Nintendo Switch console is not fixed to the Nintendo Switch Dock

-       The Nintendo Switch console is in Sleep Mode or is it turned OFF.

It is also possible to use the AC adaptor to directly charge your Wireless Horipad for Nintendo Switch.
